i was sent a screener of this for review so that gave my wig a little YOINK and so did this. smart camerawork, cinematography slapped, and the leads are all fun to watch, even if the main “twist” is obvious and the script gets a little uhh.......Like That... its an indie so you can forgive some stuff but this really badly needs a new sound mix because i could either barely hear the score since everything was mixed dead center, or it was so loud it threw off all the sfx and dialogue. overall didn’t make a whole lotta sense lmao but i loved the splitscreen stuff and the final reveal. when jenni melear yells “a COCK” at full volume with tons of reverb and then they have a whole ass musical singalong i felt myself physically levitating off the ground.
since this is an indie flick and mike c nelson (the lead, cute, pretty good) has that bear look goin on, the only thing my lizard brain kept repeating this whole movie was “Macon Blair 2: Electric Boogaloo”
