    A tale of... toxic masculinity.

    As a period piece and a slice of European folklore, Wilczyca is interesting. There is some excellent cinematography. Otherwise it is a little muddled. I wasn't familiar with Iwona Bielska before this movie, but she dominates the screen.

    Ostensibly, Kacper and his dude friends are the protagonists, but Maryna and the Countess are the truly tragic characters. In fact, Kacper is quite the psychopath.
