"The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you're uncool."
Wow, what an incredibly introspective and powerful film!
Rarely is it that a movie is lauded so highly and not only meets expectations, but surpasses them with relative ease!
The characters feel real, these people feel like people you know. We've all known a Penny Lane. The way William Miller is written, that could be me, or you, or anyone you know.
Lester Bangs is that kid we all thought we were too cool for, who turned out to be cooler than all of us.
Everything about this was as relatable as it could be (given the circumstances)
And the quotes? almost any given line could be quoted to cover some aspect of all of our lives.
instantly on my Top 10 films of all time, and possibly pushing for top 5 status.
