Probably way over hyped this for myself but it was way different to what I expected...
Not really sure way I expected but it wasn't this
It's not at all bad, and the acting is top notch bit the story builds, and builds, and builds..... Then just goes *fuck it something else happened*
This movie is BANANAS!
Just Balls to the wall ridiculous! Takes the first ones campy nonsense, and just MULTIPLIES it by a million.
Nothing is explained, nothing makes much sense at ALL, and yet again, none of that matters because it's just so much ridiculous FUN!
So many people dying and no-body even seems to mind.
The owner of the resort is a total hoot and a half!
Just so great from beginning to end!
I didn't watch this film in its entirety, I was just seeing/hearing it while the kids watched and I did things around the house.
But that's more than enough to know that this was a TERRIBLE movie.
I know I should cut them some slack for being child actors, but the acting was just beyond bad!
It's like they just grabbed some kids off the street and said "here, read this and do that, no training required! "
and my god, the 'jokes' were just so damned awkward to listen too.
The only upside to this film in any way is that my kids liked it.
I didn't really know what to expect with this.
A comedic crime Christmas mash-up? sounds decent enough, lets give it a go!
DON'T give it a go. What a bunch of twaddle.
Every single thing that every character does is an exceptional display of what NOT to do in every single circumstance.
The only competent character in the whole movie is 'Kate' played by Michelle Mylett.
The 'disillusioned' cop played by D'Nofrio is a terribly written character. and the 'hero'…
This installment was much sillier than any of the others so far.
But it was so hilariously self referential that it was good!
Jennifer Tilly, playing Jennifer Tilly, playing Tifanny, who's obsessed with Jennifer Tilly. It's freakin amazing!
Plus, all the other Jennifer Tilly jokes were great 😂 she's such a good sport.
I put off watching this one for ages, being a kids movie I expected it to be very cut/copy of every damned animated movie ever.
Finally watched it with the kids and was pleasently surprised. Yes it had an element of cut/copy to it, but it was unique enough to be enjoyable.
The Guardian character designs were really interesting, North (Santa) and Sandy (The Sandman) are particularly good, and I loved the design of the Tooth Fairy.
Pitch Black (The Boogeyman) is also suitably dark and deviously fiendish.
Not the best movie ever made, but certainly leaps and bounds beyond most kids films.
