Just how much blood do these people think one person actually HAS!?
A great 'STYLE' watch, the imagery is AMAZING, the way its filmed is clean, crisp and style for DAYS.
The story itself is a bit naff.
The boyfriends a total and utter fuck-tard.
I find it very, VERY hard to believe anyone is going to survive what our heroin had happen to her, let alone turn around and seek bloody vengeance within 48hrs of it happening.
GO TO A HOSPITAL ya mad thing!
Story is only acceptable if you switch off any form of logical reasoning.
Imagine someone tried to reboot the first Die Hard. And it actually didn't totally suck.
It's like that!
Some good suspenseful scenes. You know they'll all be okay. But there's one scene on a crane that as someone scared of heights. I jumped in my seat! I admit it!
They do rinse repeat a few suspenseful moments and we'll... Diminishing returns.
But all in all it wasn't a bad action movie!
As long as you go into this feature realising its a reboot of a film series started in 1986, then you should find plenty to enjoy!
It has ridiculous (and thankfully mostly practical) effects!
It has scenes where entire buildings of people are unable to escape the ravenous critters and their insatiable lust for flesh, and yet somehow the leads are able to run around hopping skipping and jumping with relative safety.
It has over the top kills (on some…
OH. MY. GOD! Ha ha ha!
This was CRAZY
This was so stupid, but so fun!
And that creature design, oh lord 😂
I knew what I was getting into as soon as it popped up "Directed by David DeCotou"
And that CREATURE! oh lord!!!
The flip flop of the characters!
"I don't think this creature wants to hurt us!"
"Now we have to kill it before it kills us"
AH! so so silly, but it's so great!
(Also, I know there's a lot of love for Linnea Quigly in here. There is a shower scene.)
My kids (4 an 7) have always been big batman fans. but they recently discovered TMNT, so after watching the most recent films, I went to to JB and bought a copy of this.
I didn't expect to much, I mean, look at it, its Batman and the TMNT's...
Colour me surprised. the plot is nothing particularly special, but the humour in this makes it well worth the watch!
There's a lot of great one liners between he turtles and…
I hesitate to remark to much on this one, Star Wars is a pretty sensitive subject to some.
I will say this though, the scene in which Yoda proves himself to be a complete lunatic which sociopathic tenancies.... is probably the greatest scene in any Star Wars movie to date.
And the weird force-link between Rey and Kylo was cringe.
MUCH better than The Force Awakens,
The first Eli Roth movie I have actually enjoyed!
It's listed as 12a (or in Australia a PG) I looked up the parental advisory on IMDB before showing my kids and also informed them it's okay to get scared and of its too scary we can turn it off....
My 7 year old made it to to the "axe murderer" scene about 20 minutes in before getting too scared.
So we watched "kangaroo Jack" Instead... Not bad, but not great.…
Heh heh heh.
This was a very silly, but most importantly very fun movie.
The first half of the movie seems like a bunch of seemingly unconnected stories, showing the rather broken lives of suburban families . the only tangible link being an unfaithful husband. and a very unorthodox police department.
but the second half manages to weave all the elements together in a really cohesive way, leading to a very funny, and very, VERY silly second half.
If you're familiar with romantic drama, and the love triangle story. You won't really be surprised by much that happens here.
The LGBTQI angle is great, but it doesn't do much outside the box as far as the "forbidden fruit tastes sweetest" is concerned.
What DOES help this film stand out from the miriad others that either fade into the crowd, or rely on overt sexality (I'm looking at you, below her mouth) is the Jewish setting as a backdrop.…
This has so many homages and is parodied so often, I kind of felt like I had already seen it, despite knowing I hadn't.
That said, I made sure I never read what the 'twist ending' was. IT wasn't a TOTAL shock, as they did kind of leave breadcrumbs but it was probably a whole different story back in 1983!
Visually the ending is quite striking, and the sound that accompanies is slightly unnerving. it's a very "WHAT THE HELL…
