his movies keep getting better. even tho my personal preferences enjoyed US more, this movie is on a much higher caliber (and budget) that helps it succeed beyond what my imagination was. in fact, he literally broadened my imagination and made me smarter after this movie. 

so many great alludes to horror films, western films (don’t even talk to me about that closing shot bc i’m still recovering from how well it served), and even the first 2-second clip of moving pictures. 

go see this movie. there aren’t many like it anymore.
