  The message of embracing that weird and loud side of yourself is good but this film does a terrible job of conveying it.

  From the first scene it appears the panda is established as an inconvenience, Mei-Mei can't experience strong emotions without turning into a giant smelly creature, she can't get angry and she can't acknowledge how cute kittens are.

  The first 30 minutes are just magical, the premise is so good and the movie could go to a million different places with it and it chose the worst one.

  Showing the characters talk and laugh and have all kinds of facial expressions with music playing and without letting the audience hear the dialogue, it's something that works in a 15 minute short film where you don't have the time to let the audience actually…

  Good, but not NEARLY as good as the people and the critics make it out to be.
  The performance given by the child actors is nothing above just "acceptable", and the story is pretty ordinary, there's a nice and creative premise, and a powerful ending, the rest is run-of-the-mill.
