Erica Acevedo-Ontiveros’s review published on Letterboxd:
This film is violent in a random opportune moments, which make it that much more realistic and scary. Violence is used unsuspectingly on people and on the audience. This film depicts the absurdity of a world full of fake news, made up facts, and heavily crafted and choreographed realities. A brilliant film by Lanthimos, it is both subtle and screams at the same time. It reveals ripples and how the most subtle ripple can cause a hurricane. Hypnotic, terrible and calculated.
