Like Knives Out, a lot of fun and just as slight—but this time with added COVID-19 / tech bro / influencer commentary used for tired laughs. And then there’s the requisite more bombastic ending (sigh). 

And like Knives Out, I wish I felt like I was having as much fun and as emotionally invested as Johnson and the actors seem to be. There’s a strange remove to both films that leaves me cold. But for mainstream cinema, you could do a hell of a lot worse.
