Moonlight is a very personal story about growing up, about struggling against the weight of expectations and norms to find your true self. I especially like how it talked about toxic masculinity, how much of a harmful burden it is, and Chiron's endless battle against it. Much like life though, it took a while before things fall into place. It's a nice and poignant slow burn, but not one I find relatable.
