Elias Santos Aragon’s review published on Letterboxd:
Our own Star Wars is here.
Exactly in this little pocket of the MCU, James Gunn do the impossible thing: He, alone, turn the Guardians of the Galaxy, a bunch of assholes, class Z kind of IP, in the most awesome, full hearted and stylish space-opera movie in, at least, 40 fucking years. The soul this movie has is so big, so true and so... I don't know, this movie really broke me. That funeral, man. That speech of Quill, that racoon crying at camera for finish the movie... This movie is really all I wanted to be, and so much more. Simply perfect.
