Two class performances from Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell who completely transformed into their roles. One of the easiest 10/10s I’ve given out lately.
Treating myself with all these good movies during the quarantine. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl feels like simultaneously a coming of age story and a love letter to cinema. It’s both extremely sweet and extremely sad. I was full on crying at the end. The cinematography felt very warm. I can’t think of any scenes that were filmed in darkness and that really contributed into making this an incredible wholesome movie. Also, if you feature music from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly that’s an instant like from me.
Thank you so much for recommending me this Bos. Certified kino ✅
