mid90s 2018
"A lot of the time we feel like our lives are the worst. But I think if you looked in anyone else's closet, you wouldn't trade your shit for their shit."
Absolutely adore this movie and am so proud of Jonah Hill for this. The cinematography, the cast, the soundtrack... its absolute chefs kiss. It truly makes you wanna go back in time and be in California in the 90s and captures that hot summer of 95' essence SO DAMN…

The Florida Project 2017
"Do you know why this is my favorite tree?"
I absolutely cannot get over how talented Sean Baker is, capturing such absolutely amazing aesthetics and emotions. Every Sean Baker film I've seen feels so real. You feel inserted into the movie and I absolutely love that. My first watch of this, I felt extremely annoyed by Moonie and was put off because she is so freaking bad. But after reflecting, and revisiting, I was much more patient with the story…

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers 1989
After having rewatched (most at this point) all of the Halloween films since I was a child, I must say, I really REALLY enjoyed this one. I remember liking this one a lot as a child but seeing it as an adult, I can definitely say I enjoyed this one the most out of all the Halloweens so far. The run time is perfect, the kills, chefs kiss.. the effects are decent and overall, it's just enjoyable. Really loving going…

The Sacrament 2013
I forgot how good this was! I remember really enjoying it the first time I saw it years ago (also I might add that I've always been super interested in Jim Jones and researching cults and weird shit like this) and can honestly say it's still held up over the years as being extremely good. The pacing is great, and I must say I still have an unhealthy obsession with "found footage" type films. "The Sacrament" feels real and feels…

Halloween 1978
What a great way to kick off the 31 days of Halloween. Every year my partner @creasy007 and I have hopes to watch at least one scary movie every day of October. Alas, it hasn't happened but this year, it seems we're full on sending it and doing it. This one is just as great as the first time I saw this years ago as a child airing on the sci-fi channel when they ran their Halloween movie marathons. Most…

Alien 1979
I'm just now getting around to writing my review on my very first viewing (long overdue I must say) and I absolutely loved it. I didn't think I would be that happy with it, it's older, its a bit aged... but to be honest, I was a little blown away and quite content with it. I thought the special effects were great, I thought the production was excellent and over all I just really enjoyed this one. It's a staple in cinema history and I'm glad I finally got around to watching it!

Big Daddy 1999
"I wipe my own ass!"
I seriously cannot believe this film came out in `99. I think after a re watch after many years I can definitely say it is my favorite Sandler movie. It has so many familiar and likeable folks in it, not to mention a freaking ADORABLE and TINY Dylan and Cole Sprouse... this one really pulls at your heart strings while also making you laugh your ass off. So many hilarious moments in this one and…

The Peanut Butter Falcon 2019
“Maybe we should have our own secret handshake.”
This was as great as everyone said it was. Displaying many excellent lessons and thoughts, most importantly following dreams and believing in yourself, “The Peanut Butter Falcon” was an absolute beauty of a film with a great story and awesome cast and definitely a treasure to watch. I can’t help but adore every role Shia has done so far in his career and this one is no different. He deserves praise for…

Sunshine Cleaning 2008
"There's not a lot that I am good at. But I'm good at getting guys to want me. Not date me, or marry me, but want me."
I freaking adore Amy Adams with everything I have. She's great in this and so is Emily Blunt. I feel like this movie is underrated... I never hear anything about it. Either way, it has those feels, it is sad... but it is also inspiring.. and sweet.. and heartfelt. There is a lot…
