Ethan’s review published on Letterboxd:
okay this was not what i expected
i can think of very few, if any, films that are so minimal and nuanced in the themes portrayed in this film and results in a truly beautiful film. The one thing that impresses me most is the sheer realism and the ability Copolla shows to create real people in Bob and Charlotte. The way she does this and what I love the most is how little they really say, bar one scene, and it really creates an impression that they really do connect as people and not just because they say a bunch of emotional things to each other.
I'm aware how shit this review is but this film has really struck a chord with me but i'm not sure how to express it really but it's wonderful and beautiful and smart and cool and funny and nice.
