Me seeing this in theaters: *gets bored towards the end*
Me revisiting it: *doesn't get bored*
This movie came out shortly before I started to become a pacing nut. To put it into perspective, the next two films I saw after this were ACTION POINT (which was boring as shit) and INCREDIBLES 2 (which I was fully entertained by), so I think SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY (combined with other films I saw from late 2017 to early 2018) may have played a part in why I'm so big on pacing. Combine those elements with the fact that I saw ANT-MAN AND THE WASP not too long afterwards, which I consider to be one of my favorite MCU movies largely because of how entertaining it is compared to others, and it all starts to make sense.
(Oh, and SOLO itself is pretty good. It has its flaws, sure, but I had a good time with it. Sorry for not really talking about it in this review, I just really wanted to mention that)
