Don't have anything else to say about this movie so I looked up depressing on thesaurus. Bleak is my favorite tho.
This movie didn't stop. Once it gets going, it gets going. No boring parts. Perfectly paced.
Obviously I enjoyed it, although I think the direction could be better. I didn't really feel the mother-daughter connection at the beginning to be invested in their relationship , but I'm glad they didn't drag that and just get straight to the good parts.
The movie opens with a seemingly boring and pointless 9-minute one continuous tracking shot, I think this is to prepare the audience for how boring the movie will be.
Don't get me wrong, every actor does their job, the set designs are beautiful, and it has the right amount of gore. But when you care nothing about what the titular character is fighting for, when the movie doesn't allow you to feel invested, then it's hard not to zone out…
