Ethan Myers’s review published on Letterboxd:
I feel a bit bad giving this a low score because it was entertaining (I once again watched this installment with my die-hard Saw fan friend). But it has definitely been the weakest in the franchise so far and it had to be lower than 4, which I gave 3 stars.
The traps are always something exciting and you can't really fault them (some are naturally more intriguing than others but still) but I think from a story perspective this was definitely lacking the complexity and engagement we've had previously.
We watched Saw VI straight after so stay tuned for my thoughts on that.
