    “I think you’re scared!”

Bruce Greenwood has been an actor I loved ever since I saw him in Below (2002) all those years ago. He was also an actor I consistently mixed up with Sam Neill, when I was younger.

Wildlike shows us the sad and disturbing story of Mackenzie. It’s a heartbreaking telling of an abused girl just trying to find her way after life altering moments. Stories like this affect me deeply. Another thing I love about this…

    Slovenian Girl

    “I fucked up everything.”

Aleksandra is a struggling woman who is determined to be independent, she comes from a single parent home, while going to school & trying to pay the mortgage on her flat, she moonlights as a call girl, a prostitute who becomes known as Slovenka. Everything spirals when one of her high profile clients accidentally dies. Now, amongst the political upheaval of the country, there’s a manhunt for her by the police & pimps in Ljubljana.

    I believe this…

    Edge of Tomorrow

“Come find me when you wake up!”

I truly believe the only thing that will ever unite humanity is the invasion and/or attack by a species outside of our world. Growing up, it was one of my biggest fears, extraterrestrials with capabilities unlike our own decimating us. Edge of Tomorrow only amplified those fears. I suppose they’re somewhat irrational, but not improbable.

This film is an absolute banger. I’ve been a fan of Tom Cruise for a long time, ever since…

“You let your husband get away with that?”

Korean cinema just hits different sometimes. Wow. Bedevilled was a wild ride, at times I felt like I knew what was going to happen but was completely subverted. At first, it’s like a drama, purely a drama with not much horror subtlety at all. Then the whole tone shifts after one event. An event that eventually pushes a woman past her breaking point.

    This becomes a horror-thriller revenge film. When I first…

    Knives Out

“The game is afoot. Eh, Watson?”

In 2019 I saw Knives Out & Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) back to back. It was an incredible double feature, watching Knives Out right after the epic conclusion of the Skywalker saga was the perfect way to wind down & even contemplate what I had just watched. Though, I didn’t spend much time thinking about Episode 9, because Rian Johnson almost immediately drew my attention in with this incredible mystery.

    Rian Johnson also…

    Dumb and Dumber

“According to the map, we've only gone 4 inches.”

This is a CLASSIC. Comedy at it’s FINEST. A lot of people consider Step Brothers (2008) one of the best comedies and I’d have to agree, but Dumb & Dumber is on that same level. This is one of the few classic comedic films I grew up watching on repeat. Jim Carrey is a genius, his films were so prominent, I saw so many of them at an early age.

    From Liar Liar,…
