Scared the shit out of me when I was young. Now watching it, the film hasn’t really aged well other than the climax, which is still super effective. Harry Dean Stanton rules in this too.

Listened to the commentary. Super insightful.

This film has really grown on me. The home invasion scenes are by far the best parts of the film, but I’m really invested more in the thematics/symbolism throughout the film. I like how it makes me think a lot about logic, while defying it completely. It’s mystical, in that Twilight Zone way that Peele is great at making his own. Great performances all around too.

Just the best. A perfect film, right up my alley. Solid rewatch. 

NAZI PUNKS FUCK OFF!

I liked this a lot more the first time I saw it, now it’s flaws are pretty noticeable (mostly pacing issues), but overall Macon Blair’s performance is really great and carries the film.

A pretty solid revenge film. In the first 20 minutes I was super worried, but it picks up more and more after that. Very of it’s time, but also very inspired by revenge films of the seventies. Worth a watch for Kevin Bacon’s performance alone.

YOU DREW FIRST BLOOD

Real powerful stuff. Thoroughly enjoyed this one; many moments are how-in-the-hell did they do this filmmaking at its absolute finest and Andrew Garfield is becoming one of my all time favorites.

Get Out is so so good, but everybody already knows that. Read the script through this time before watching, interesting to see the differences.
