Euan Brown’s review published on Letterboxd:
I forgave a lot more of the problems on rewatch. The only complaints I have now are:
* They missed the mark with Lex Luthor. I see what they were trying to do but it felt slightly OTT and cliché
* The dreams were a bit excessive, the Kevin Costner and Flash ones were also pretty stupid and, I felt, unnecessary
Other than that, I LOVED it. I felt the ache of Batman's sadness and the struggle of identity Superman faced. I like that this film said "fuck you" to the formula and genuinely tried to make something fresh. I like how this movie was 10000% comic and I didn't even mind how the film sacrifices the coherence for symbolism.
Fuck it, this film is awesome.
