    I love, love, looooove this movie. but it is so easily misinterpreted and romanticised that it hurts. Jeremy irons is INSANELY good as humbert humbert, in my opinion. Just the right balance of charm and creepiness, that it really aids your discomfort. Literally amazing.

    Giving “free the nipple” feminist vibes. Not only was it pretty uninspiring, and hard to root for almost all of the characters because their motivations and personalities were not properly developed, please someone tell me why it’s centred around Vivian??? she has to be the most bland character ever. Lucy had so much more “moxie” and her as the main character would have made much more sense, whilst probably making for a far more inspiring and overall enjoyable film. If…
