Evan Lee Ambrose’s review published on Letterboxd:
the *admittedly gnarly asf* vampire shenanigans are constantly employed as brash coming-of-age metaphors, but this is nonetheless tastefully grim in regards to its ground-level familial drama, and hilariously melodramatic in classic YA fashion for the better especially towards its climax. ergo, this is unapologetically accentuated and of its genres, which shouldn’t be too much of a shock for Guadagnino since it succeeds his Suspiria remake.
love it when a director lets their actors drool too, snot and all.
