Some pretty bad writing and acting, but it also provides some satisfying, brutal, revengeance-fueled action.
(Yes I’m trying to make revengeance a real word.)
Perfect dumb Hollywood summer nonsense. It's super cheesy, has a pretty stupid plot, and is entirely predictable. It is also very much just Die Hard in the White House. But it's really fun, thanks in part to a game cast. This is easily Emmerich's most fun film after Independence Day.
