Slow Cinema, or Contemporary Contemplative Cinema, is best described as a style that downplays events in favor of mood. Slow cinema directors slow down the pace of dialogue and character movement, as well as extend shots beyond normal length.
Here I've tried to add every movie that could confidently be considered slow cinema into a master list. I've seen a lot of slow cinema lists seem to add anything that's even somewhat slow or including movies that are totally outside the boundaries of slow cinema. So here I've put a lot of effort into only including movies that fit the description perfectly.
