Larry Yoshida’s review published on Letterboxd:
First of the short-lived Poverty Row Philo Vance revival series. Philo (William Wright) is called in by his friend Larry after Larry's singer fiancee is murdered. Larry turns up dead too. Larry has a bunch of ex-wives and they're all in his will. They start winding up dead as well. It's up to Philo and the first victim's manager to find the killer. Good mystery but Philo bears little resemblance to more faithful portrayals by William Powell or Basil Rathbone. Directed by William Beaudine.
