“Try to find something wrong with Minari,” I overheard one prominent critic (rather aggressively) challenge another. “You can’t. It’s perfect.” And reader, I did try. As the credits rolled, I jotted down one criticism only to immediately realize I was forcing it for the sake of being critical. Rarely does a movie come along that is so deeply lovely, every frame aching with gentle grace. I tried to find something wrong with Minari. I can’t. It’s perfect.
