Finally got around to seeing this. It is a very unique version of Little Women, you've never seen it like this. It's not just a modern take, it also involves money embezzlement and a murder mystery. An impressively creative and twisty plot-line, which includes flashbacks and following each sister at times. It's so transformed it doesn't even feel like Little Women most of the time, but the connection between the sisters is a strong vein through the story. I liked…
This movie, ... wow. I put this on late at night, expecting I might not finish it, but once I started watching I was hooked. Incredible acting, excellently made. Extremely sexy. Even though I found the lead character despicable, it's presented in such a way that you feel for him too. Such a perfect example of the drama that relationships can potentially bring out in people. I found the end scene so interesting, too: A manchild walking through a playroom of children.
Such a shame this was cut from the Oscar nominees. This film is both cinematically interesting & intelligently stimulating. It's funny, engaging & visually pleasing. I think I love Timothee Chalamet....
Where is Wes Anderson's Oscar? I mean every single frame is squared away perfectly(!), let alone the script & actors; he deserves recognition for his brilliance.
Don't ever stop Wes, we love you! (& Need more of your stop motion too)
