The alien looked amazing, and I was pleasantly surprised by the reveal of the UFO (UAP?) being itself the creature, and not a vehicle. There were some indelible images - the blood raining on the house; the final shot of OJ on his horse - and all the technical aspects that people are praising are justly praised, I think. I don't know enough about that stuff to accurately comment but I trust everyone else's expertise.

What was effective about Natalie Portman's performance as Jackie Kennedy repeats itself here. The overt performativity never lets you forget about the pretense of Stewart's impersonation, which mostly works, since it's in keeping with the idea of being forced to essentially roleplay your own life. She is good (but not great - Kristen Stewart isn't as bad as people tend to think she is but it's unfortunate how wooden she can be, even in a better role) as Princess Diana…
