There is nothing more terrifying than having your child be kidnapped and the responsibility of not taking good enough care of them on your shoulders.
When I was 12 watching this film I never understood the themes of abandonment, bullying, anger, rebellion loneliness and motherhood until I rewatched it and it hit me like a brick falling from a tall building.
It's great and I recommend others give it a rewatch.
Blade Runner 2049 is the type of sequel that Hollywood needs to keep making. It's perfect storytelling in its finest, the film takes its time developing actual characters and proper motivations.
