To be fair to this film, it took on a massive challenge following on from The Blair Witch Project (1999), which made its success through its marketing strategies and it’s found footage way of filming. Therefore I do feel that the sequel took a good stab at it. The elements of horror was still effectively delivered and even though the found footage style of film was more up to date it’s still gave a realistic approach in a way.
However the graininess look that the prequel had made it much more effective and realistic.
I haven't bought a DVD in like forever but when I was in hmv the other day and saw this I had to buy it and I'm glad I did.
The Florida Project is a story told through the eyes of a child who lives in a motel close to Disney Land. I like the way she and her group of friends are the main focus in the film and the camera hardly leaves them however the story is told…
I am not fimiliar with many dark comedies and have only recently watched Fargo to understand the style and tone that a dark comedy coveys. Three Billboards was an amazing film in which the screenplay has to be its main selling point. The humour is very clever and In some parts I was unsure whether to laugh or be shocked about what the characters said. The performances from Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell was the best I've seen each of them do in which gave the film the style and tone that I was unsure that a dark comedy portraid.
