Wish this wasn’t named the dark knight rises. Maybe Batman rises would’ve been better since this feels way more like a sequel to Batman begins than the dark knight.

The WKW hype is starting to increase further for me. First time watching this I didn’t really enjoy it much. I appreciate it more on the second view. Still not perfect to me but honestly the vibes are immaculate, allowing the viewer to emotionally connect towards its characters and their situations. This is all while absorbing a beautiful atmosphere.
It has a unique visual style and a charm to its writing, it’s like real people had real, boring conversations…

My first introduction to Anno was his anime NGE, didn’t like it. Watched the movie EoE and fell in love. Watched the rebuilds and it solidified my love. Now to see how he handles his live action works is almost exactly what I imagined.
