Still on a roll a bit with the A Nightmare on Elm Street series quality wise. I've always liked this one but I feel like I haven't given the credit its due in the past.
Absolutely love the cast here. All of the kids (and their powers), some of the staff, and Nancy are all great. The dream sequences were always pretty solid and had potential but I think this is where things got really unique. I think that's why this series fares so well in comparison to the other major horror franchises. Even when things hit a low quality wise there's usually something wild going on that at least somewhat makes up for it. These films were so creative.
I really miss this series and I hope someday we see another one. At this point I don't really care if it's a reboot/remake or if Robert Englund returns or not. There's so much potential to be found with this license and it will kill me if that last attempt is what it all goes out on. Hopefully Halloween (2018) will do well and revitalize interest in new entries in some of these other series.
