Review In A Nutshell:
Tommy Boy is one of the worst comedies I have ever seen, simply put. Everything about it is irritating due to the wasted potentials of its two leads and features a storyline that attempts to skirt back and forth between moments of sentimentality and slapstick comedy. The film would have better if it didn't try to balance itself out too much and find itself committing more on one tone. Also the protagonist is unliveable from the start to finish, there are multiple moments where it tries to redeem itself, but it never earns it and makes these characters feel all the more artificial. Why does this film exist?
