Probably my favorite film of 2022 so far! Everything Everywhere is an absurd multiverse of epic proportions that ends up boiling down to some of life’s more existential questions. I laughed and cried, then proceeded to do both at the same time. Anyone can relate to what the characters go through, but it does hit home for children of immigrants. The over 2 hour run time is so worth it!

Heartbreaking, but wished the storyline wasn’t so muddled. One of KStew’s best (she tries even though the script lacked). This film had an opportunity to honor Seberg, I was left wanting more.

Aaron Sorkin does the classic courtroom drama. If you’ve seen any of his previous films, the writing is on par with his classic tropes. The standouts of the film were the actors- Yahya Abdul- Mateen ll performance as Bobby Seale was heartbreaking. The film tries to say something about our justice system that most already know. At the end, it leaves you wanting more.

I’m thinking I need to watch this movie again. There’s a lot going on and references to be broken down. Charlie Kaufman sticks to his style of existentialism and uncertainty. Would I revisit this for fun? Probably not.
