    Minority Report 2002

    Ryan Conde

★★★★ Watched by Ryan Conde 20 Aug 2020

Steven Spielberg has another hit on his hands with this film. The story is very well-told, the cinematography is good, the musical score is great, the visual effects are amazing, the themes are pretty thought-provoking, the dramatic moments are effective, the editing is fantastic, the action scenes are intense and great to watch, and the acting is really good from everyone especially from Tom Cruise. However, the film does have two big problems that keep it away from being in…

Does anyone else think Rogue started off as a really solid character, and as these movies progressed, she consistently got the shorter end of the stick? Because like, characters such as Cyclops, Storm, and Iceman never really had big roles and their role in the story tended to be about the same. But Rogue is like a major plot point in this movie and as each movie came her role decreased. Idk. Just seems like wasted potential.

Also, Senator Kelly is more a villain than Magneto could ever be.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

    Fuck it.

    -J.J. Abrams

Fuck it. Quite possibly the most dangerous and most unpredictable combination of two words in the English language. It's said when you browse for something to watch and come across a Japanese woman covered in blood. It's said under the breath right before you ask out that cute friend-of-a-friend, and then she says it right before she sits you down before the "We need to talk" bomb drops. J.J. Abrams said it while crafting the make-or-break…

It feels small compared to Infinity War and Endgame, and that's great. I love seeing this characters meet for the first time. I love to see them talk and argue (although it can be a little grating on rewatch since we've already see them become friends).

Those are my favorite moments of this movie. Scenes like Tony talking to Bruce about how the Hulk saved his life, Steve and Coulson chatting on the way to the helicarrier and Steve and…

    Alita: Battle Angel 2019

    Romario De la Rosa

★★½ Watched by Romario De la Rosa 19 Aug 2020

It has great visuals, the action is really solid and Rosa Salazar is really charismatic in the lead role, but that does not save the really weak story of Alita: Battle Angel, in the end the movie feels really incomplete and unsatisfying.

I don't always watch movies with my mom, but when I do it's usually a very nostalgic childhood favourite.

  • War of the Worlds

    War of the Worlds 2005

    Felipe Fritz

    ★★★ Watched by Felipe Fritz 16 Aug 2020 1

While I enjoyed it, it's definitely a mixed bag.
It's like for everything it does right, it does something wrong.

Its scenes of chaos and panic are absolutely horrifying, but it's the most unsubtle 9/11 allegory I've ever seen.

The tripods are incredibly scary, but the aliens inside them are hilariously goofy.

The performances are all solid, but the characters are very annoying.

What pushes it above average for me it's the ending. I really like the ending. I know some hate it and think it's unsatisfying, but it's refreshingly hopeful and it makes me feel that if aliens were to attack, everything would be ok.

    ★★★★ Rewatched by Felipe Fritz 15 Aug 2020 4

    Yo, what the fuck?

Why was this movie so much better this time than all the other times I've seen it?

Why did I suddenly have a bigger appreciation for the performances, the visuals, the music and all that stuff?

    What the hell happened?

I always liked this movie, but this rewatch made me realize that it's a lot better than I remembered.

Scenes like Loki confronting Odin about his origin, Thor and Selvig at the bar, Loki visiting Thor…

The most popular film by Sofia Coppola and I love it just like a lot of other people do. The story is very well-told, the cinematography is amazing, the musical score is great, the humor is very effective and funny, the dramatic moments are very strong, the direction is fantastic, the themes are very thought-provoking and challenging, the concept is pretty original, and the performances are stellar from everyone especially from Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson who both did a…
