    A few smirks and a few laughs, but falls short of the charm and heart I’m accustomed to with Taika. The relationship between the two main leads never drew me in and most of the side characters were a little too wacky for my taste. Overall, pretty forgettable

    Haven’t been this torn on a movie in a while. At times, Bullet Train is an exciting mystery filled with colorful characters and some exciting action. And then at other times we have Marvel-esque, cringe humor and a wannabe Deadpool feel. Every time I was fully locked in, I’d be met with a groan. And every time I was over the movie, I’d be met with a good laugh.

    A bunch of characters complain about how hard life is and then get everything they’ve ever wanted. Their stories you want to root for but the characters are so shallow and boring, when they achieve their goals, I just rolled my eyes and went “of course”. Weak writing and an incredible lack of subtlety make this quite disappointing
