Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai

Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai ★★★★

Jarmusch is always a little mystifying to me. His off-kilter rhythms can make me elated in one movie and restless in another. (Sometimes at the same time.) But who knows why this one took so long to grow on me. This is easy to like.

A charming, badass oddball of a movie, it must be Jarmusch’s most accessible. And it’s probably one of my favorite Forest Whitaker performances (second only to his turn in The Color of Money).

Anyway, the more I watch it, the more I like it. (And that goes for the soundtrack, too.)
