Even more surprising than discovering that it doesn’t suck, this has quickly grown on me. It doesn’t really get good (or feel like a Star Wars movie) till Chewbacca shows up. But this time around, I appreciated the simple, breezy storytelling even more.
Ehrenreich is no Harrison Ford — who is? But I can accept him as the wide-eyed (as John Siracusa notes, the character isn’t old enough to be cynical and world-weary yet) and likable (not quite charming) Han Who Has No People.
But also: Why is Woody Harrelson in everything these days? I don’t get it. And I don’t like it.
