The first third is really strong, it's intense in how claustrophobic and intimate it is. But once we start walking on the surface of the ocean floor, some of the momentum gets lost. The dark cloudy ocean floor doesn't look great, and it takes a little too long to get to the creatures. And maybe I'm just greedy, but I wanted more creature action! Also, icky T.J. Miller.
Major question though, the dude that gave the guy a helmet he noticed was damaged (leading to guy's implosion) survives at the end right? The movie barely addresses it and Kirsten Stewart sacrifices herself for that bozo?? We just gonna pretend he wasn't a piece of shit??
