FilbiP’s review published on Letterboxd:
The movie promises multiple dungeons and multiple dragons right there in the title, and on that count it absolutely delivers. Truth in advertising!
But what really made this feel like a proper Dungeons & Dragons movie and not just a generic fantasy flick with D&D branding is 1) the focus on creative problem solving and 2) the theme of things going wrong in ways that cause the plot to veer off in new, interesting directions. That, more than all the Easter eggs (which I loved!), is what made this feel like the authentic D&D experience. And besides that, it just had a ton of heart and lovable heroes who I wanted to succeed. This really is the D&D movie I've always wanted.
(also Holga is bae, just saying)
