Filipe Furtado’s review published on Letterboxd:
The two Marfa Girl films are attempts by Clark of strip down his interests towards the essential. Forms of responsability. Parents and children, couples and how circles of violence and abuse are passed around. There is more editorializing here than The Smell of Us, but the filmmaking is just so simple and direct. Drama mirrors the practices, all about camera and body, what a performance gestures reveal and how the filmmaking approach them. A state of being and film's place towards mediate it.
