Filipe Furtado’s review published on Letterboxd:
This haunted house gross fest was the first moderate budget film of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's career. Juzo Itami produced and co-star and one suspect he was the true main creative force behind this one, with the young Kurosawa directing so Itami (by far Japanese cinema hottest name at the time) didn't sign such low material. It does has some spooky and disturbing images and the third act goes so out there in the shock effects one might think we are in an early 80s HK grossout. Overall, this very low tier weather one is interested in Kurosawa or Itami, but not devoid of many pleasures.
