Filipe Furtado’s review published on Letterboxd:
Proto-gangster film with Lou Chaney trying to catch a violent criminal. It is intersting how this adapts Chaney usual personal to a tough cop role. He is still very obsessed, but the damnation that is often over him gets light up a lot as if by just being on the right side of the law the curse was lifted. Jack Conway's direction has some clever action bits and it seems a very germanic look, but it is hard to know for sure because the copy I saw was very low resolution.
