In 2019, Nepalese mountain climber Nirmal “Nims” Purja set out to do the unthinkable by climbing the world’s fourteen highest summits in less than seven months. (The previous record was eight years). He called the effort “Project Possible 14/7” and saw it as a way to inspire others to strive for greater heights in any pursuit. The film follows his team as they seek to defy naysayers and push the limits of human endurance.

Netflix should make a sequel in which someone has to scale Nirmal’s ginormous balls.
The easy thing go for a viewer to do while watching 14 Peaks is to stare in passive awe & amazement, believing Nims is made of superhuman stuff. It is more difficult to accept the fact that he is not so different. That he simply set himself to a task with conviction and did it. That is the reality. Nims is not an overnight wunderkind. He’s not even particularly young. Despite his amazing capacity to oxygenate his muscles and climb into death zones hungover & on zero sleep, he is the byproduct of arduous commitment and self-creation.
From running 3-4 hours every morning with 75 pounds on his back to joining the Gurkha special forces, he systematically terraformed his body and disciplined…

Needlessly stylized and over-edited. Doesn't trust its core idea enough to let the death-defying feats and cultural importance function on their own. Gotta cut it to fuck and reassemble it like a Bourne trailer.
A real shame, since Nirmal has substantial natural charm, a sheen of sweetness with braggadocio peeking through.
Too often has the tone of a fundraising video for a dude in a mechsuit beating progressively deadlier kaiju.
The music, the scenery, and the people combined together made this film great. I hope Nim and his crew get the recognition they deserve, their rescue attempts were amazing.

This. Is. Astonishing. OMFG. This film establishes an extremely important and iconic legacy for Nepal in the most breathtaking way. What Nims pulls off is an utterly extraordinary achievement in the history of adventure sports, even more awesome that it was all captured on camera with some of the most stunning mountain cinematography I have ever seen. This film sets a new bar in terms of mountain filmmaking, along with the unbelivable accomplishment of climbing all 14 of these mountains in less than 7 months. There are moments in this that are so jaw-dropping I couldn't even contain myself, I was up and cheering for him. I would say this is the second most important achievement in mountaineering in Nepal…
Summitting all 14 8000 meter peaks in 6 months should have been the biggest news story in the world
It’s a shame how poorly this was made. Just so scattered. So rushed. No cohesive story. It shoulda been a series tbh.
But then again maybe they condensed it so hard because maybe it’s sketch how they went about summiting these so quickly??? Idk
I’m kinda sketch cause they just made it seem so simple when literally this is one of the greatest feats of all time.
Regardless one of the most impressive / absurd things I’ve ever heard of. But now I’m just so confused.
