There was a time when saying "that was a 'Made for TV' movie" was disparaging. It meant low budget, poor acting, and weak cliched script that shies away from any hard hitting truths. Although not without its charms this movie falls squarely into that category with the exception of Michael Fassbenders performance. But this is not his best performance by any stretch, it just isn't as bad as some of the others in this movie, although he must have cringed at saying some of the dialogue. I rented this for my seven year old to get a hit of background and history on this beloved Canadian legend and at that it succeeded. I would have enjoyed a few more minutes with Christopher Robin and AA Milne at the end.
