Kei Kumai directs a drama film about an interpreter looking into the death of a military man.
There's an imdb review that says they understood why this was forgotten I don't agree with their reasons, however like old Verneuil or Boisset thrillers, this basically just came out back when it did, then got forgotten because it was another mainstream thriller.
But just as Verneuil and Boisset did decent thrillers, Kumai does that here too.
It settles for a gets by on, someone out there is up to something shadowy and shifty and you can never GET them, because they're THEM.
You can walk around with your big coat and cigarette asking questions but you're not going to tell the tale.…
