Goofy medieval society > modern society

Goofy als Ritter.

Goofy plays all the parts in a gladiatorial Medieval Times scenario. I'm always amazed at how slick and rich classic Disney animation is, feels modern somehow even though in the real world animation quality has generally degraded over time.

The narration is often the best part of these Goofy shorts, this one is no exception.

Another meh Goofy cartoon, with a decent premise that's not really executed well. The duel between Goofy and his opponent was fun to watch, though, so it's at least watchable for that alone.

NEXT UP..... Chicken Little. Ah yes, Disney did a Chicken Little short long before the infamous 2005 movie....

So Goofy is a knight in this short that really doesn’t make any sense. I don’t get the rules of this joust, but I feel like Goofy lost immediately but somehow did not. I did chuckle a couple times, but I wasn’t too impressed.

Basically "A Knight's Tale" with Goofy in the Heath Ledger role.

It's a bit weird that in this Goofy cartoon, the main character is very clearly named Cedric and not Goofy, in a whole world of Goofs. It's a fun sort of world to see on display, though.

This reminded me a little of The Prince and the Pauper. Very entertaining and seemingly a lot more celebratory than earlier cartoon shorts. My guess is because this was made right after we won the war. 👍🏻
