  i'm not going to say that poor tina the lesbian was in the friendzone but imagine being friends with margot robbie as a lesbian. it'd be like staring into the sun, day after day, but not being able to tear your eyes away. you'd self-combust. how would you even focus, knowing that margot robbie was your friend? and you just know margot robbie would be the kind of friend who'd kiss you on the cheek and hold your hand in public and share a bed with you during a sleepover. like, bless her, she introduces tina to people as her "girlfriend"! considering all this, how is tina still alive and functioning? truly, tina is the bravest lesbian of us all.

  What does this have to do with About Time?

  Every bloody thing. It utterly wrecked and uplifted me on a deeply personal level.

  It's easy to dismiss this as romantic comedy fluff with a gimmick, but to me Curtis's film is so much more. He cleverly uses the time travel gimmick to lure you into thinking you're watching the next Love Actually while you're actually watching a plot unfold that has a lot to say about life, loss and, yes, love.
