Just like it's predecessor, I hadn't seen this until just now. This and the first movie could've been Halloween go-to's this whole time. Missed opportunities.
I love the Addams Family so much. I don't even know why. Something about their gothic aesthetic and how they really are a very loving, committed family that is judged solely on their appearance. I love that it's played for laughs and I wish I could get through the original television show to see them in full.
Joan Cusack was the perfect villain. She always surprises me in her roles and I loved her as a con artist. I also thought that sending the children to summer camp was a nice touch and I'm glad their "first Thanksgiving" play was surprisingly conscious. Bless Wednesday.
Still, I prefer the first one. I know the sequel is the fan favorite, but I enjoyed the first one way more.
