Watched this lil gem before work this morning. Ethan Hawke is one of those actors that has alot of great roles under his belt but he rarely gets acknowledged amongst the top actors.
Adopt A Highway sees Ethan Hawke's character get out of jail after 20 yrs. He gets a job at a restaurant, finds a baby in a dumpster, takes care of said baby for a few days until social services get involved, then he hops on a bus to head home. During the bus ride home he meets a young woman who he has an almost instant bond with over mustard n mayo sandwiches...
A neat film about 2nd chances. No real drama to speak of. Just a peek into one man's live right after he's released from prison. Doesn't sound exciting but its actually a nice feel good story.
Almost feels like a film A24 would release.
